Like other sectors of commerce, books today have several business models. As a Swiss publishing house, Éditions ⚡ Éclair uses Kindle Direct Publishing and Amazon as its printer and distributor (as do many publishing houses that hide behind this while also using Amazon as a direct sales channel).

This allows our books to be distributed with a carbon footprint 40% lower than that of the traditional book chain, while respecting the service and margins of booksellers. With no stock management or slow, cumbersome and costly logistics, this alternative model is sustainable and respects authors' rights.

Booksellers buy our books directly from Amazon or Éditions ⚡ Éclair and receive delivery within two days, with no returns or overproduction. By applying their usual margin corresponding to their service, they offer our books at a more favourable price to the consumer.
